FAQs
Is it actually free?
Yes. No entry fee, no card, no deposit. You get a fresh $50,000 simulated account every match, and the only optional purchase in the whole tournament is a $29 reset that wipes one bad match from your record.
Do I need trading experience?
No. Everyone is capped at the same position size, 1 mini or 10 micros, so a big account buys no advantage. There are four markets total and one decision per trade: up or down.
Whose money am I trading?
Not yours. Every match runs on a simulated account, which means practice money, so a losing session costs you points and nothing else. The prizes are real cash, paid on results.
Am I competing against VarsityGaming?
No. The Creators League is a separate 16-creator bracket running alongside the player season. You compete against other players. VarsityGaming competes against the other creators.
Does picking a creator affect my own score?
Not at all. Your points, your leaderboard position and your prize eligibility are entirely your own. Picking VarsityGaming only adds a pack on top of whatever you win yourself.
What if VarsityGaming gets knocked out early?
You keep the tier they reached. Packs only move up, never down, so an early exit still leaves you with something to open.
Can I compete from my country?
Almost certainly. Entry and prize money are global, with a standard identity check at signup. Only the top-4 finale positions require attending in person in Fort Lauderdale.
When does it all start?
Registration opens September 7. Open 1 runs September 21 to October 16, Open 2 runs October 26 to November 20, and the eight finalists play the live final in Fort Lauderdale on December 11.
